"This foursome melds steaming funk, sweet R&B, and aged acid-jazz; creating a melting pot that
appeals to the most seasoned jazz listener, and the folks who just want to groove all night
long." --Art & Soul of Southend Festival Review Bellyfull is pioneering the dynamic fusion of
funk, jazz, high-spirited soul, rock & roll and all of the peculiar places in between. Each live
performance presents an opportunity for exploration because of the improvisational nature of the
band. Bellyfull's unique instrumental compositions are wrapped in a depth of soul that moves in
organic waves throughout an entire show. Lead vocalist, Scott Daily, combines blues, jazz and R&B
to create his own unique style of singing lyrics which have as many powerful interpretations as
there are listeners. One of Charlotte's favorite bands. Celebrating this summer's release of their
new CD "Post Modern Ghetto.
Wednesday, September 14, 2005 An Evening With Keller Williams
The life of Keller Williams has been one long musical journey, each adventure contributing to his
reputation as one of today’s most distinctive and impressive guitarists/singer-songwriters. For
his latest exploit, Keller Williams releases Home. His eighth album release, Home finds Keller in
his natural element and perhaps better represents what dwells at the source of Williams’ prolific
artistry than any of his previous studio recordings. Home is undeniably the residence of Keller
Williams. Songs like "Love Handles" and "Apparition" embody Keller’s signature sound and exhibit
his ridiculously imaginative musical mind. Funky instrumentals such as "Tubeular" and "Butt Ass
Nipple" display his rhythmic genius and technical prowess. If Williams’ sounds comfortable in
Home, it’s because he is. This is Keller is his native habitat, and his passion for musical
conversation began here in this place. Recently, Keller has been playing in front of shoulder-to
-shoulder crowds throughout the country. Music lovers pack the venues to witness the inventive
solo performance that has garnered this genuine talent the nickname of "mad scientist." Many have
used similar techniques on stage and in the studio, but no one has taken it to such heights as
Keller Williams. Today, this release finds this unassuming guitarist on the edge of mass appeal.
Welcome to Keller’s Home. No need to wipe your feet. Just come on in.

Friday, November 11, 2005 Lotus
Lotus is a five-piece instrumental band based in Philadelphia. Their music is heavily tempered by
electronic styles such as deep house and drum n' bass, but inside the sonic layers seep heavy
doses of funk, jazz, and world music. Their high-energy live shows feature tightly composed
material balanced with stretched out improvisation. The sounds shift from spiritual and
meditative, to jubilant and energetic, from dark dance floor burners, to spaced-out waves of
ambience.
